Meet Your Instructor

Candyce Tart, Ph.D. is a seasoned clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience, specializing in the treatment of military Veterans with PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and health behavior challenges. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Southern Methodist University in 2012, with a focus on anxiety disorders, PTSD, and OCD. Dr. Tart completed her internship and postdoctoral residency at a major medical center in Albuquerque, specializing in PTSD and rural mental health. Her academic work includes 17 peer-reviewed publications advancing the treatment of OCD, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. In addition to traditional evidence-based therapies (CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based approaches), Dr. Tart is certified in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, including ketamine, psilocybin, and MDMA, after completing clinical training through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute (IPI). In 2024, she founded Cedar Psychology Services, dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality care. Dr. Tart is also committed to training the next generation of therapists with an emphasis on compassionate, evidence-based, and person-centered care.
