Meet Your Instructor

Evelyn Sandeen, PhD, ABP received her BA from the University of Notre Dame and her PhD in clinical psychology from Stony Brook University (previously SUNY Stony Brook) and is board-certified in clinical psychology. She served as a Training Director for doctoral psychology internships and postdoctoral fellowships in a national healthcare system and now has a psychotherapy and consultation practice in Albuquerque (www.evelynsandeen.com). Evelyn has published in the areas of case conceptualization, cultural competence, and clinical supervision. She is the first author on the 2018 paper originating RLP and has facilitated many trainings and workshops on RLP with various learners over the past decade. Clinically, she has extensive experience with psychological trauma, substance-use disorders, personality disorders, and anxiety disorders. Evelyn has lived in New Mexico for 30 years and loves the state and its people. She established NMBHTA alongside Michelle Ball to offer high-quality continuing education to local providers, facilitated by local experts committed to New Mexico.
