Meet Your Instructor 

Joshua B. Grubbs, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of New Mexico, a faculty affiliate at the Center on Alcohol, Substance use, And Addictions (CASAA) and is a nationally- recognized expert in the study of behavioral addictions. Dr. Grubbs maintains an active research program focused on the etiology and treatment of compulsive sexual behavior disorder and gambling disorder. Dr. Grubbs has also developed a specialized research focus on the unique behavioral health challenges facing military populations. Beyond his academic and research obligations, Dr. Grubbs is active in bridging the gap between science and practice. He is available for clinical consultation and training workshops for mental health professionals, and expert witness referrals regarding forensic cases involving behavioral addictions.
