Meet Your Instructor

Dr. Dvorah Simon holds an undergraduate degree in Religion from Pomona College and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University. Her career has included research and clinical work in Rehabilitation Psychology, private practice, program development and management, teaching, and providing recovery-focused care for Veterans experiencing Serious Mental Illness. Dr. Simon’s training includes psychodynamic, CBT, Ericksonian, and Solution-Focused Therapies—the last of which she had the great fortune to learn directly from founders Steve deShazer and Insoo Kim Berg. Dr. Simon is also a published poet and has offered trainings for psychotherapists on using poetic process within the psychotherapy context. Contact her at [email protected].
