Meet Your Instructor
Katherine Belon, Ph.D., DBSM, is a licensed psychologist specializing in behavioral sleep medicine. She earned her bachelor's degree from Middlebury College, her Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico, and received her Diplomate in Behavioral Sleep Medicine (DBSM) in 2024. She completed her internship in Albuquerque, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Pain and Sleep. Dr. Belon is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and serves as a consultant for new CBT-I learners. She is also trained to treat a wide range of sleep disorders, including complex cases involving co-occurring conditions such as insomnia and sleep apnea. With a strong foundation in CBT, Dr. Belon has experience addressing sleep issues related to serious mental illness, trauma, depression, substance use, and chronic pain. She is committed to providing evidence-based care that enhances sleep, physical health, and mental well-being.
